Colder Weather
Layers is the most important aspect to keeping warm in the cold weather. 3 thin layers will be warmer than just wearing a thick jumper as each layer will trap in heat. I, Mr Haran, generally wear about 5 layers on my upper body and 2 on the lower half, I have not been cold on any Forest School day yet.
Layers do not need to be thermal, a vest, long sleeve t shirt and a jumper under a coat would normally suffice. Tights work well under trousers as a second layer.
Hats, gloves, wellies and a 2nd pair of socks will help keep the heat in too.
A spare set of clothes should be brought in, in case there is a need for a change.
