Welcome to Miss Holley’s Class, Year 6.
We are supported by some fantastic teaching assistants in Year 6. Mrs Baker and Mrs Wood who work in Year 6 full time, Mrs Parry is with us Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning and Miss J is with us Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday.
Our class has 25 children in it, with different interests and skills. We offer a range of activities to meet to interests of all the children in class.
Our timetable is carefully structured with daily reading, Maths and English activities, and other subjects taught across the week.
We try to link subjects together wherever possible, but some stand alone subjects are taught separately (for example, PE).
Our pupils benefit from many first hand learning experiences in our class, and their pupil voice is central to the activities we plan for them. We are really lucky that we are starting a new curriculum in Wales in September 2022, this allows us to follow the children’s ideas and interests and give us more freedom for our learning.
