Respect and be respected. Value and be valued. Aim high

Blwyddyn 4

Year 4's summer term topic is Save Our Wildlife. The children will be learning how to group and classify animals, use branching databases, create animal food chains and explore animal habitats. They will use the forest schools to explore mini beasts (applying their classification key reading skills) and create  habitats. After half term the focus will turn to conserving Britain's wildlife.  We will be developing our science investigation skills and learning all about plants.

The children will study The Hodgeheg during whole class reading, and use their design skills to design a bridge for a hedgehog to enable them to safely cross the road.

Our Maths skills will  be put to the test with further work on fractions, data, time and shape.

We will continue to enjoy weekly visits from the Wrexham Music Service, developing our guitar playing skills.

We will begin swimming lessons during this term so please keep an eye out for our start date.
