Homework and Reading
In a couple of weeks we will be sending Book Bags home with the children. It will massively help your child’s progress in School if you take the time to listen to them reading their book at least once a week, more if you can! Please write a comment in their Reading Record letting us know how your child got on, or just leave a signature if you are in a rush! This lets us know that the book has been read, and that we need to change it. Please note that we will only change the book if you have signed the Reading Record.
Book bags are sent home on a Friday and need to be returned by the following Wednesday. If the Book Bag comes back after
Wednesday, we can’t guarantee the book will be changed in time to go home on Friday.
We send homework each week for the children. This will usually be a short Maths and Phonics activity. The Phonics task will focus on the sounds and “tricky words” the children have been learning that week. We will then test the children on a Friday to see if they have retained the week’s sounds and tricky words.
